 Introduction to Judaism – Back by popular demand, this course delves into what makes Jews Jews.  What does it mean when Jews are called, “The Chosen People?”  How do you make Challah?  How do you make Matzah?  Do Jews believe in Hell?  What is the Shema and why is it important?  What is the Talmud?  Why do bad things happen to good people?  Do I have to go to High Holidays or is it enough that I’m a good person?  What are the key Jewish Holidays and their significance?  What is a Zionist?  What are Hebrew Greetings?  What are Yiddish greetings?  What is the Jewish position on abortion? Homosexuality? Divorce? Prayer in school?  What are the key differences between Reconstruction, Reform, Conservative and Orthodox?
